The css current affair paper is comprised of a total of 100 marks. It is a compulsory paper related to the general knowledge of the various current situation. To pass the css current affairs paper a candidate is required to secure a minimum of 40 percent marks.
 
However, if a css aspirant fails to secure 40% marks in this paper but gets 80 % in the next general knowledge paper such as Pakistan affairs paper or general science and ability then he or she will be considered to pass this paper as well.

Collectively a candidate needs to secure 120 marks to qualify the three compulsory papers of general knowledge.

These three papers include Current Affairs, Pakistan Affairs, and General Science & ability.

International Affairs, as deemed necessary to interpret current affairs.
